The benefits of yoga and how it helped me

Yoga is about co-ordinating the breath, mind and body.  It is a practice that uses different poses to exercise the body plus relaxation and breathing techniques to still the mind.  The benefits to regular practice include developing strength, flexibility and stamina, toning muscles and improving posture.  The relaxation and breathing helps reduce stress and aid sleep. The poses stimulate your internal systems to improve overall health. 

I believe that the benefits that yoga brings to mental and physical well being, are available to everyone at any age in any space.  I have been practicing yoga for 25 years.  I am a qualified British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga4Health Teacher.   My regular practice of yoga was invaluable to me.  It helped me to release stress, from my body and mind, and improved my sleep.

Free your body and mind

Yoga can stretch & strengthen the body and soothe the mind.  I offer a yoga class live on Zoom every Wednesday 7pm to 8pm.  To join this friendly class email me at by the Tuesday before the class.  All levels are welcome.

I also offer one to one yoga sessions for classes tailored to your individual needs.

For businesses, I offer yoga classes to improve the health and well being of their teams either regular sessions or for an event. 


For everyone at any age in any space

Enjoy all the benefits of yoga for anyone with limited mobility, with limited space or in the office.  Poses adapted to using the chair for either all, or some, of the class. 

I currently offer Chair Yoga Live on Zoom on Mondays from 2pm to 3pm, just email me to join.  I also offer sessions at care homes for the wisdom warriors in our community

 as yoga can benefit any age.


Yoga on Prescription

Yoga4Health s a 10 week programme for NHS patients who suffer from stress or anxiety, are pre-diabetic, at risk of heart disease or socially isolated.   

Each 2 hour session includes breathing practices, simple yoga postures, meditation and mindfulness, relaxation and group discussion.  You receive a course manual and access to videos.

Join the course by referral from a GP/Heath Professional or self-referral.  Next course date TBC.
